ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Jim Phillips
Dr. Jim Phillips studied Political Science, Western Civilization, and English
Grammatical studies at Bakersfield College and California State University.
Dr. Jim wrote one of the text-books used at Bakersfield College in the Ethnic
Background Studies Department. He is a graduate of CMBI having earned a THD and Doctorate of Bible Languages in both Hebrew and Greek. He studied with such theological giants as Dr. H.T. Hubbard, Dr. Carl E. Farrar and Dr. Martin Canavan, Dr. Roy Reed, Dr. I K Cross and D S Madden. Dr. Phillips has transcribed every book in the New Testament and much of The Old Testament from its original language into English. He has taught Greek, Hebrew, Advanced Theology, Church History, Greek Reading and research and many other subjects extensively for more than 50 years in California and Nevada. Word With Dr Jim on You Tube. Dr. Phillips was the spokesman for the American Indian Council in Bakersfield California and has taught extensively on Native American Culture. He currently resides in Fish Lake Valley, Nevada with his wife Marilyn, where he pastors Discover The Word Missionary Baptist Church.
