Helpful Hints for Bible Class Teachers

Helpful Hints for Bible Class Teachers

Perhaps you are a Sunday School/Life Group teacher with thirty years of experience and need a refresher course on capturing and maintaining the attention of your class. Maybe you have just recently started your teaching “career” and need some helpful hints to help you be a more effective teacher. Regardless of experience, a new perspective or a reminder of techniques previously learned can be very beneficial in improving teaching style and effectiveness.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Are my lessons designed to alter behavior?
  • Do I really KNOW each student in my class?
  • Does each lesson have a life application objective?
  • Do I have access to the proper resources for effective lesson planning?
  • Do I always feel completely prepared to teach the lesson?
  • Am I capable of responding to bizarre, off -track questions that inevitably are  asked?

If you answered “NO” to any of these questions, these teaching tips are for YOU! To make it easier for you to digest and apply these hints, we will use real life stories,  bullet points and brief chapters. Feel free to skip right to the chapters that address issues that may be a current challenge to you. And GOD BLESS YOU as you “rightly divide the Word of Truth” to your students. (2 Timothy 2:15)
