DANIEL
Daniel was one of the first to be relocated because of the Babylonian exile of 606 B.C. His reputation as an interpreter of dreams and riddles led to high governmental posts in Babylon. Chapters 1-6 deal primarily with recounts of his experiences along with his three Hebrew companions. Chapters 7-12 include visions of future events, and often are studied along with the book of Revelation.
You will notice the teaching style of T. E. Lee consistently includes these components:
-
- The verse text in Greek (from the Septuagint)
- The verse text in English
- A definition of words from the original language
- An exegesis of the text
- Supplementary quotes by revered theologians
This Study Guide was initially intended as a series of Sunday School lessons and is equally useful for sermon preparation or individual Bible study.
