REVELATION
“Revelation” means “to take the cover off”, or to reveal that which has been hidden. While eleven of the twelve disciples were martyred for their faith, John was exiled to the Isle of Patmos, where he wrote this book. It describes events that are yet to take place, culminating in Christ’s ultimate victory over sin and evil, and our beautiful eternal existence with Him.
You will notice the teaching style of T. E. Lee consistently includes these components:
-
- The verse text in Greek (from the Septuagint)
- The verse text in English
- A definition of words from the original language
- An exegesis of the text
- Supplementary quotes by revered theologians
This Study Guide was initially intended as a series of Sunday School lessons and is equally useful for sermon preparation or individual Bible study.
