AMOS

Amos was a shepherd from a rural area of Judah. He found great extremes between the wealthy and those in abject poverty. His warning was to the wealthy… to avoid the false safety of affluence and to stop exploiting and cheating the poor. While his ministry didn’t last long, this book is one of the finest examples of literary artistry in the Old Testament. (from information included in the Zodhiates Greek Hebrew Study Bible.)

You will notice the teaching style of T. E. Lee consistently includes these components:

    • The verse text in Greek (from the Septuagint)
    • The verse text in English
    • A definition of words from the original language
    • An exegesis of the text
    • Supplementary quotes by revered theologians

This Study Guide was initially intended as a series of Sunday School lessons and is equally useful for sermon preparation or individual Bible study.
