Stephen L. Abbott is a pastor who served in four churches in Texas and Arkansas for nearly 40 years. He retired in July 2021 after serving over 27 years at First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Steve received a BA in Bible from Hardin-Simmons University in 1979 and went on to earn an MDiv and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982 and 1990 respectively. Most of Steve’s career was spent in pastoral ministry, but he also served as an adjunct faculty member for John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR from 1999 – 2015, teaching in the Bible department and for the degree completion program. He and his wife Jeannie live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
