Genesis - Part 3 of 4
In Hebrew the first word in the book of Genesis is bareshit, or “In the beginning.” Genesis is a book of beginnings: the creation of the cosmos, the creation of man, the first sin, the birth of the nation of Israel, and the beginning of the story of redemption.
You will notice the teaching style of T. E. Lee consistently includes these components:
-
- The verse text in Greek (from the Septuagint)
- The verse text in English
- A definition of words from the original language
- An exegesis of the text
- Supplementary quotes by revered theologians
This Study Guide was initially intended as a series of Sunday School lessons and is equally useful for sermon preparation or individual Bible study.
